Notes
We took our first trip in during the spring before the tree buds had come out. I’d bet this location would be awesome in the fall. I found the glacier slides on the rocks during the hike up amazing.
Just a fair warning.: wear long sleeves and long pants. In the taller grass on the trails, I picked up a few ticks. Bring bug spray, too. The bloodsuckers will eat you alive.

Explore Oconto County
Explore By ATV / UTV – If you want to get out and explore some trails, Oconto County, Wisconsin Trails are some of our favorite. It isn’t uncommon to run into a black bear, see 100’s of frogs cross the trail, get muddy, dusty, and have some plain ‘ole fun.
Culture Copper State Park – If you’re looking for a place to get out and stretch your legs, this might be the place to do it. The park has a museum, short walking trails, and views of the Oconto River.
Mountain Lookout Fire Tower – Climb 132 steps and stand 100-feet in the air at the last original fire tower of nineteen. Still standing on its original location in the Nicolet National Forest.
