Endangered Dwarf Lake Iris Wildflower
The endangered Dwarf Lake Iris wildflower is a miniature iris that grows nowhere else in the world but in the Great Lakes Region. It is especially concentrated along certain stretches of the Great Lakes shoreline.
Found Only In
• Michigan
• Manitoulin Island and the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario
• The Door Peninsula of Wisconsin.
Where Was It Photographed:
This dwarf iris was photographed in Door County last summer. The Door County peninsula, on the lakeside, grow this iris during the late spring and early summer. I love to go and hunt them down.
If I ever get around to getting my old photo files from previous computer (the hard drive is completely dead) I will upload additional pictures. If not, there is always hunting them down next year.
