Enjoy this set of vintage postcards it is a set of 15 printable cards to create wonderful pocket stuffers for junk journals. Well, at least that is what I will be using them for. But, one doesn’t have to limit our creativity, do we?
Vacationing In The Northwoods
Over the Fourth of July, we spent some time visiting family in the Wisconsin Northwoods. It was a wonderful getaway catching up with family, fishing, shopping, and enjoying nature.
For months I haven’t taken many photos, nor have I enjoyed taking photographs and I’ve lost all interest in social media. Everything seems to be about:
- Whining about how many likes and followers, instead of enjoying life.
- Politics (where 90% of the people YOU are voting for do not have a clue what YOUR struggles are)
- AI created art and photos, I’m over it.
I had to force myself to spend three hours with a camera in hand over vacation and one day unplugging my phone from the outlet of the airbnb. Just trying to find some happy medium and joy again with photography and social media postings.
It Is The Quality Time Spent Not The Quantity
Where joy and excitement were found, was the time I spent time shopping with my daughter at antique stores on the hunt for items that I could use to create journal ephemera. It was fun rummaging through what some would consider junk all for the sake of art. After my daughter returned home, I revisited one of the antique stores, and my “ladies” didn’t hold back from sharing some wonderful finds with me.
Returning from vacation relaxed with bags of loot to scan and all kinds of rusty metal items. It might be the first time in months I’m excited about something. Next month, I plan to create rust paper prints for journal pages. But, enough about that, let’s get back to why you are here, the postcards, right?
